2. The drafter draws it
Grid, walls, doors and windows, fixtures and furniture, dimension chains, room tags, north arrow and title, while you watch.
3. Open it in AutoCAD
Download the DWG or DXF and keep working: the layers follow the usual A-WALL / A-DOOR / A-ANNO naming, and the units are set in the file.

Tips for the best result
- Tell it the AutoCAD units you work in (metres, millimetres, feet and inches).
- Give wall thicknesses if your office has a standard.
- Ask for changes before downloading; every version keeps its own files.
- Use the DXF if your program is not AutoCAD; it carries the same layers.

How can I convert a floor plan to DWG?
